A new packaging in line with Changi Airport’s store, was designed for the pastries. Originally, the pastries were sold in transparent containers, which did not do justice to the brand. With the new packaging featuring Singapore’s landmarks, people were willing to pay more. With a round die-cut, people could get a sneak peek on how the actual product looks. We picked out the 4 most popular Singapore landmarks to cater towards the tourists at Changi Airport. The cashew nuts tarts were tied to Gardens by the Bay. Every packaging included the main ingredient so that the shoppers and tourist understand what flavour they are purchasing, such as the Pineapple Balls had the pineapple fruit. Incorporating the durian fruit into this packaging was crucial so that the shoppers, especially tourists, will be attracted to purchase souvenirs unique to Singapore. With the packaging, sales increased by 20%, as it’s clear for shoppers to understand what they are buying back for their loved ones, as compared to the old packaging.
